About Us

Trauma-informed care rooted in evidence and delivered with warmth

Founded in 2014, DBT in Mind provides evidence-based psychological care to people navigating intense emotions, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties.

Your diagnosis isn't a definition of who you are – it's a starting point to understand how best to help you thrive.
Luka Hadrych, Founder
Our Story

Built from experience, driven by what works

We started in 2014 because we kept seeing the same problem: people trying one therapy after another without getting the specialist support they needed. Our founder Luka Hadrych saw that individual sessions alone were not enough to create lasting change, so he brought together a team who could deliver full DBT and MBT programmes exactly as they were designed to work.

Our first therapists came from the NHS specialist personality disorder service. Over time, trusted colleagues joined from across clinical settings. Today we are a team of ten, united by three principles: effectiveness, compassion, and relevance to your unique needs.

Our Approach

Evidence-Based Care, Faithfully Delivered

Our approach is grounded in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment proven to help people who experience intense emotions, relationship difficulties, and complex trauma.

We are one of the few organisations in the UK directly trained and supervised by the original developers of DBT, including Dr. Marsha Linehan. Our founder holds advanced DBT training from the Linehan Institute, and our team includes therapists accredited by Behavioral Tech and the Society for DBT UK & Ireland.

Evidence-Based Therapies

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • DBT for Complex PTSD (DBT-CPTSD)
  • Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)
  • EMDR Therapy
  • Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT)
  • Neurodivergent-Friendly DBT
What Sets Us Apart

Welcoming and Human, Clinically Rigorous

Most clients come to us specifically for DBT or MBT, often following assessments or recommendations from other professionals. We want every interaction to feel welcoming and human, while retaining the clinical rigour that underpins real change.

Our team brings together decades of experience across NHS services, the Priory, forensic settings, and specialist personality disorder pathways. We offer comprehensive DBT programmes – including weekly individual therapy, skills groups, and 7-day phone coaching – as well as targeted interventions tailored to your needs.
